Biobacter is a compound consisting of living bacteria cultures. The bacteria can be given 10 minutes after dissolving in the aquarium water, straight into the aquarium or even better into the filter.

The bacteria within an anaerobic biofilter need organic nutrients as their energy source to remove nitrate. Denimare contains organic substances which dissolve slowly into the water and are taken up by the bacteria. If Denimar is dosed daily, high nitrate removal rates canbe achieved in the Nitratereductor . Denimar is suited for salt and freshwater aquaria. It contains no fertilisers and does not foster the growth of algeas.

Strontium is important for accelerating coral amd calcareous algae growth.

Natural Sea Water contains approx. 7-9mg/L of strontium. This strontium is associated ("chelated") with sulphate.

Since the growth of corals and cacareous algea goes hand in hand with strontium and calcium depletion, depletion of calcium (whicj is very easily measured) usually means depletion of strontium as well.
