It has 3 timed outlets and two standard outlet (1 for UK) for conection to ther electrical appliances. Natural Wave avoids stagnant areas forming, where waste may accumulate and cause pollution of water. Suspended sediment is more readily removed by the filtering system. The water flow and alternate cycles help prevent invertabrates being covered by excess mucus and facilitate the capture of suspended food. Natural Wave stimulates the development of live corals and od all sessile organisms.

A further application is the automatic dosing of fertilisers and minerals. In freshwater aquariums, the iron fertiliser ferreal can be added daily. In coral reef aquariums, the addition of calcium and trace elements (products of the Reef Life series) can be automated using the SP 3000.
