Greetings all. The Black-footed Clown fish in our tank has developed a cataract-like problem with it's left eye, it was fine one minute, and the next time I looked he was ailing. The eye is swollen over, bulging, and bluish tinted He seems distressed and keeps to his weed-bed, and upon today's main feed, seemed disorientated. Although he tried to feed, he appeared unable to find any food, and retreated to his 'nest' area. His right eye is fine, and the other fish in the tank are also fine (Puffer, Tang, Fireball and Wrasse.) It looks like it might be an injury, rather than an infection. Any advice on possible treatment would be welcome. Cheers! IP: 152.163.213.177 |

Hi Sorry to hear about your clown, you could try it in a bath with interpet liquisil, this always used to work well for me with eye problems with tropicals, so you never know! if you dont get any better advice then give it a go!!!!! Mutt ------------------ IP: 195.147.150.246 |

Hi I agree with mutt but not sure of the best treatment. A quantine tank would help. Asked the question on reeflands board for you to see if there are other opinions chek it out. http://www.reefland.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/000028.html Martyn IP: 172.163.214.249 |
